August 6th
We leave at 7am and the trip though not 'pee
on the plate' is REALLY GOOD. We pass Slingsby
at a flood tide and the large Pacific swells are just a murmur.

| Sea Lions Playing off Pine Island |
We get whale & sea lion show on our
way south. Of Course we only get a
splash of the whale’s tail. On the other
hand the sea lions come right alongside of “Oceanaire”.

| Cruise Ship, Pilot Boat & large Catamaran. |
It get’s just a little busy out here with a large cruise
ship going north and the pilot boat coming out to pick up the pilot on the
cruise ship and large cat power boat heading for its next destination.
Having heard the weather warning we decided
that maybe we should be tied up somewhere, so we check in with Port Hardy to
see if there is moorage for two 50 ft. boats. They have room for one only, so we
suggest that maybe Pat might feel more comfortable being there. We pass on going to Pt Hardy. We were worried that with two big boats and a storm coming in our little hidey hole might be a little too tight.
We get anchored and then it rains like a fire
hose has been trained on us. We just snuggle down
thankful that the five hour run from Fury to here had gone smoothly.
WE ARE NOW FURY SOUTH!
