OLDER THAN DIRT that’s me. Penny has made
me feel special as she has made me poached eggs (SHE HATES EGGS in the morning)
That is a how much she loves me. Even after tormenting her for 60 years she
still hangs in there (I LOVE HER FOR THAT). The kids have checked in and we
have news from home. We leave the no name bay and arrive in shearwater.
Priority one is Birthday Lunch at Shearwater. We go to the outdoor setting area
of the Pub restaurant. We jabber to the couple that was moored in the no name
bay with us. She is practicing art on board their boat and he as just retired
from fisheries. Last year he helped the aboriginals rebuild the lodge at the
Koeye River that is across from Hakai pass.
Our friends from 100 Mile house, Pat & Bob so we
have a wonderful happy hour with them on their big beautiful DeFever.
JULY
THE 8th
Penny wants to stay one more night and
reconnect with the gang. Tony and Rick come in by dingy from Troop Passage for
supplies, but mostly for E mail to the office. It turns out they will not be in
Shearwater until the next day. So we stock up some more and watch one of the
builders of the model plane re install the re-pitched props. Meanwhile an eagle sits in a tree right
beside the model watching all the goings on!
